Thank you!

To all our friends and benefactors

Since last April an outbreak of COVID-19 took place in Khlong Toei, a slum community in Bangkok Thailand, that has a large and very dense population. Currently, people are still being infected and many others are in high-risk areas. Among the people affected there are children, sick and elderly people who we know and visit regularly. Some are under treatment and some others have recovered already.

Our work is mainly in 20 slum areas with hundreds and even thousands of families. There are around 200 elderly people we visit weekly and an approximate of 300 children and teenagers who participate in our activities. During this period all the activities are canceled in accordance with the instruction of the authorities. What we can do for now is to coordinate together with community leaders to distribute relief goods such as rice, milk, water, masks, alcohol, canned food, etc., in order to help the people affected.

We are all brothers and sisters because we are children of the one only Creator. We are in the same boat. Therefore, we need to recognize that in a globalized world there is a connection among all of us. It is necessary to cooperate with each other so that we can survive. (Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis)

Thank you to all, priests, religious, and lay people and friends both Thai and foreigners, for your help in cash or in kind for the people affected by COVID-19 in Khlong Toei.

The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Mt 25:40)
