Prayer in missionary life

Prayer in missionary life

The mission begins and ends with prayer because God Himself is the source and culmination of everything. The missionary must be a person of prayer, actively contemplative, striving to deepen their knowledge of Jesus, to see, to seek, and to find God in all things. These are the prayer experiences of two of our brothers who are in the process of becoming missionaries

My name is Methi Krabaunsanga. I am 25 years old, and I come from Tak province, which is located in the north of Thailand. I was born in a catholic family, and my father is a catechist. Since I was a child, my parents have pushed me to attend church, which has nourished my faith in God. In family, we sometimes pray rosary, and we always attend the mass on Sunday as family. This spirit of family makes me grow in Catholic faith. They taught me to pray before in order to give thanks to God for his blessing to me every day, and this I consider it as a personal prayer that deepens my relationship with God. Prayer is a way to be with God, who inspires me to follow him. Without Prayer, my mission is meaningless, and Prayer keeps me motivated to continue on my missionary journey. In the seminary, we have community and personal Prayer, which helps me continue to deepen my faith in him. God is always calling us to follow him in different ways of life. If you feel that God is calling you to be a missionary, God’s messenger proclaims the good news to people, especially those who do not know him yet. Join us and become a Xaverian missionary.

My name is Opat Rakbanthai; my nickname is Bank. I am Karen from the Tak province in Thailand. I have eight siblings; I am the 7th . My family is Catholic; we have strong faith and always love to pray. Prayer makes me strong and strengthens my faith in Jesus. Prayer motivates me to become a missionary to serve poor people in the future. In my daily life in the community, we pray together every day; we have morning prayers, Mass, and night prayers together.
